Purpose of STAT730 Assignment 2: The purpose of the assignment is to learn how to enter data in SPSS. A research has been conducted on the topic of how ‘demographic factors’ can affect ‘child happiness’. After data collection with the help of a questionnaire, data is compiled in following format. Following demographic variables and questionnaire items are observed. 

Variables Gender: (1) Male (2) Female Citizenship: (1) Local (2) Foreigner Age: (1)Yong 18-30 (2) Mature 31 – 50 (3) Old > 50 Religion: (1) Islam (2) Christianity (3) Hinduism (4) Buddhism Mother‟s Education: (1) < 5 class (2) 6 -9 class (3) Metric (4) FA/FSC (5) Bachelors (6) MS/PhD Child Happiness Questionnaire Q1: 1=strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = neutral, 4 = agree, 5 = strongly agree Q2: 1=strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = neutral, 4 = agree, 5 = strongly agree Q3: 1=strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = neutral, 4 = agree, 5 = strongly agree.

Preliminary Requirement: Students have to install IBM SPSS (any version) on their computers. Students are required to obtain the SPSS software by themselves.

To complete the assignment, you are required to do the following:-

1. Define the variables in „Variable View‟ of SPSS software. 
2. Enter the given data in SPSS. 
3. Paste the screenshots of “Data View” and “Variable View” in MS word*. 
4. Submit MS word assignment file in LMS.
