Purpose of STAT730 Assignment 2:
The purpose of the assignment is to learn how to enter data in SPSS.
A research has been conducted on the topic of how ‘demographic factors’ can affect ‘child
happiness’. After data collection with the help of a questionnaire, data is compiled in following
format.
Following demographic variables and questionnaire items are observed.

1=strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = neutral, 4 = agree, 5 = strongly agree

Q3:
1=strongly disagree, 2 = disagree, 3 = neutral, 4 = agree, 5 = strongly agree.
Preliminary Requirement:
Students have to install IBM SPSS (any version) on their computers. Students are required to
obtain the SPSS software by themselves.
Assignment 2 Requirements:
To complete the assignment, you are required to do the following:-
- Define the variables in „Variable View‟ of SPSS software.
- Enter the given data in SPSS.
- Paste the screenshots of “Data View” and “Variable View” in MS word*.
- Submit MS word assignment file in LMS.
